Computer Specifications for Township Meeting Bid Opening on 2/15/2012:

 

·        Basic workstation support including backup of data.

·        Emergency computer services, as needed.  Please indicate estimated time of response.

·        Keep computers (6) updated and operational to include cleaning and maintenance, as necessary.

·        Small business network and associated equipment.

·        Up to approximately 5 hrs. per month.

·        Please quote per-hour rate and/or any other charges.

·        Please provide experience, education and references.

·        Anyone having access to Township computers must provide proof of bonding and liability insurance, and will be subject to a background check.

·        Return bids to Weesaw Township, P.O. Box 38, 13518 State St., New Troy, MI 49119, no later than Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 7:30 p.m.  Please mark your sealed envelope”COMPUTER BID”. 

·        Posted office hours are 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Mon-Wed.  Should you choose to drop off the bid at the Township Hall after regular office hours, bids may be left in the drop box to the right of the Glendora Road entrance door.

·        Bids will be opened at the Regular Board meeting, Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 7:30 p.m.

·        We reserve the right to reject any and all bids.

Weesaw Township, Berrien County, Michigan will be accepting bids for lawn mowing, trimming, and maintenance of property owned by the municipality. Bid specifications may be picked up, on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at the township hall between the hours of 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, 13518 State St. New Troy, MI 49119, or found at the web site www.weesaw-township.com. Please submit sealed bids including proof of Liability and Workers’ Compensation Insurance no later than 5 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2012  

If the office is closed, please drop your bid in the drop-box at the corner of the building.

Bids will be opened and reviewed at Special Meeting to be held on Wednesday February 8, 2012 at 7:00 pm, at the Weesaw Township Hall.

 

Package A:

Township Hall located corner of State St. and Glendora Rd., New Troy.; New Troy Cemetery located on Wee-Chik Rd.; Glendora Cemetery located on Cleveland Ave.

             Mowing shall be done on a weekly basis unless no growth has occurred since previous mowing. Grass height should be kept between 2” – 3”.

            Trimming around cemetery, except for chain link fence along bluff, shall be done using the same guidelines in regards to grass height. Care must be taken to avoid damage to headstones and other decorations. Contractor shall notify township officials of any damaged headstones. Contractor is not responsible for repairs unless damaged by contractor or their employees.

            Cemetery fence shall have a, as needed, trimming of grass and overgrown brush. Weed killer should be used as needed.

            The contractor, on an as needed basis shall keep the appearance of the cemetery in a proper manner, shall remove all blown down branches and tree limbs.  All trash barrels must be emptied and debris removed, in a timely manner, and nothing to be thrown over the hill.

            Cemeteries require Spring and Fall Clean-up to remove leaves, branches, and miscellaneous debris including flowers, wreaths, etc. Excessive storm damage will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Spring clean-up shall be completed by May 5; Fall clean-up shall be completed by November 30th. Should minor storm damage occur between Dec. 2012 and March 31, 2013, it may be necessary to pick up tree debris.

            Township Hall building and air conditioner shall be trimmed using mowing guidelines.  

There shall be no mowing done the day of any of the following holidays: May 13th - Mother’s Day, May 31 – Memorial Day, June 17th– Father’s Day, July 4th – Independence Day and Labor Day September 3rd.  There shall be no work done during a service at either cemetery. 

            Care shall be taken at all times in regards to safe mowing practices and lawn care, especially when visitors are present.

 

Package B:

Mill Rd. Park located on Mill Rd. and Weesaw Township Park located on California Rd.

            Mowing shall be done on a weekly basis unless no growth has occurred since previous mowing. Grass height should be between 2” – 3”.

            The contractor, on an as needed basis shall keep the appearance of the park in a tidy, orderly manner, and shall remove all blown down branches and tree limbs.

Due to the proximity to the Galien River there shall be no chemical means of weed control used in the park.

            Special instructions for Mill Rd. Park:

            Hillside: Any tall weeds, such as Russian Thistle, that grows above the grass shall be trimmed on an ‘as needed’ basis. The goal is to keep the hillside grass to a natural height of approximately 6”.

            Guard rail by the driveway:  Trim around the fence by the driveway. This is the first thing people see and must look presentable.

            Ivy, grape vines, or other invasive plant growth that encroaches onto deck, walkway to deck, or parking barriers shall be removed as necessary.

             Special instructions for Weesaw Township Park:

            This is a township park consisting of 8.49 acres of open land, with approx. 6 acres of land to be mowed and trimmed.

Trimming around trees shall follow same guidelines as mowing requirements.

            This is a park that will attract many visitors, so care shall be taken at all times in regards to safe mowing practices and lawn care.

 

            This is a one year contract.

Weesaw Twp will be Holding interviews for a Registered Code Official,

Building Inspector, Plan Reviewer

This person will handle all New, Alterations and Dangerous Building Inspections.

A current Registered Code Official and Inspector license is required.

 

Background Check.

 

 

 

Code enforcement officer

 

Background in Law enforcement Preferred.

Duties: Issue citations, site visits, Strong ability to interact with

Residents, strong communication skills, Recordkeeping/documentation/

Ability to prepare reports and Go to court if necessary.
