General Information
Weesaw Township is located in southwestern lower Berrien County, Michigan.
As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 2,085. It was organized in 1837.
The township is primarily agricultural and rural. The unincorporated communities of Glendora and New Troy are the only parts with concentrated settlement. Also, the township offices are located in New Troy.
The area is defined by natural elements of farming, wine grape production and farms raising seasonal items that draw many from both in and out of our area.
Our township includes a mix of medium and higher cost homes as many have chosen to live in our quieter and more relaxed environment.
While there is some industrial zoning it is at a minimum and we are a primarily residential community.
